After the resounding success of the 2017 NA LCS Summer Split Finals in Toronto, the NA LCS Finals will return to Canada this spring. The North American Spring Split Finals, crowning the top League of Legends team in North America, will be held in Vancouver’s Pacific Coliseum, Riot announced Tuesday. The finals will be held April 23, with a third-place game the day before on April 22.
The Pacific Coliseum is no longer home to any team, but seven different hockey teams have called it home since 1968 and it was used in the 2010 Olympics. Most recently, the WHL’s Vancouver Giants played in the stadium from 2001-16.
The stadium has a seating capacity of 16,281 for hockey games, although you can expect a slightly different capacity for an esports event. The Pacific Coliseum has also been the site for many concerts over the years, including the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones and David Bowie. The arena also hosted figure skating and short-track speedskating events during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
