Riot Games announced that the North American LCS 2016 Summer Split finals will be held in Toronto in August.
O Canada! The 2016 #NALCS Summer Finals will be at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on August 27-28! #LockInhttps://t.co/vewnKzfQvq

Despite being named the North American League Championship Series, the NA LCS has been largely focused on the US since its inception. Riot Games is based in California, as are all of the teams and all of the NA LCS games.
This year's venue, the Air Canada Centre, does seem less-flashy in comparison to Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas or Madison Square Garden in New York City, but we can't be mad about celebrating Canada. After all, many of our great NA LCS players come from there, like Jason "WildTurtle" Tran, Benjamin "LOD" deMunck, Johnny "Altec" Ru and Darshan "Darshan" Upadhyaha. (Let's also give an honorable mention to popular streamer Hi im Gosu.) Canada has had its own League of Legends success as well: University of British Columbia has been the uLoL champions for the past two years.
The Air Canada Centre is the home for the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Maple Leafs, which means maybe we'll see some deflating Raptor action? The possibilities are endless.
If we're lucky, we might even get to find a...Mountain Drake in Toronto.
In honor of the LCS resuming, I thought I'd share my favorite Drake. What's yours? pic.twitter.com/MVUh8Lhss4
