NA LCS Day 2 guide: C9 vs. Immortals, Envy vs. Liquid VODs and scores

Everything you need to know from Day 2 of North American action.

Riot Games

The North American LCS debuted a fresh best-of-three format Friday, with one sweep and one series that went all the way. Saturday, we get four more series on two different streams, as the new format really kicks in.

On the first day of action, Team SoloMid upset two-time defending champions Counter Logic Gaming in a convincing 2-0 showing. Team Envy played its first LCS matches and beat NRG Esports 2-1, including a near-perfect game in Game 1.

The marquee matchup Saturday is one of the first ones, as Cloud9's revamped roster takes on defending regular season champions Immortals, who struggled once faced with a best-of-series in the playoffs. C9 acquired former world champion top laner Jung "Impact" Eon-yeong and have replaced one former NA LCS MVP jungler (Lee "Rush" Yoon-jae) with another (William "Meteos" Hartman). Meanwhile, Immortals returns its entire roster from last split's 17-1 regular season run, including reigning NA LCS MVP Kim "Reignover" Yeu-jin.

Phoenix1 will debut its new roster against Echo Fox, and Team Liquid will open its season without reigning NA LCS Rookie of the Split Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett, who was suspended for insubordination.

Saturday is the first day of the new two-stream format, with two best-of-three series occurring simultaneously throughout the day. All games will be streamed live on the Lolesports website and on Youtube and Twitch (NALCS1and NALCS2).

The day will start at 3 p.m. ET/noon pacific with Cloud9 vs. Immortals on NALCS1 and Echo Fox vs. Phoenix1 on NALCS2. After those series conclude, Team Envy will take on Team Liquid on NALCS1 and Apex Gaming will face NRG Esports on NALCS2.
