After one week in the NA LCS, four teams have emerged above the rest in the standings: Team SoloMid, Immortals, Team Envy and Apex Gaming. Three of them play Friday night in what should be a fun start to the second week of action in the Summer Split.
Since it's Friday, only one series will be played at a time. The day will start with the match of the week (an underwhelming NRG vs. Immortals, with the highly-anticipated TSM vs. Immortals coming Sunday), followed up by an intriguing series between surprise 2-0 teams Apex Gaming and Team Envy.
Both are first-year teams that took down perennial North American powers in Week 1. Apex beat two-time defending champions Counter Logic Gaming, while Team Envy took down Team Liquid. Both teams also defeated NRG in the first week.
The games will be played on Patch 6.11, the first day of NA LCS games played on the new patch. The patch has already been played in Europe, with high emphasis on Vladimir and Ryze but otherwise a pretty wide-open champion pool at every position. All games will be streamed live on the Lolesports website and on Youtube and Twitch (NALCS1 and NALCS2).
