Team SoloMid has announced Vincent "Biofrost" Wang as its new starting support, after he won a tryout during the team's boot camp in South Korea, the team announced on Facebook. Biofrost replaced Bora "Yellowstar" Kim, who left the team in April and signed with his old team Fnatic.
ESPN's Jacob Wolf reports TSM also tried out former KT Rolster support Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun and former G2 support Glenn "Hybrid" Doornebal. Wolf reports Hybrid, who signed with Origen Wednesday, was offered $250,000 by TSM.
Biofrost will be paired with all-time North American kills leader Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng, and joining a roster that includes Kevin "Hauntzer" Yarnell, Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen and Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg. TSM has finished as runners-up in North America in two consecutive splits, losing 3-2 to Counter Logic Gaming in the finals both seasons.
Biofrost played with multiple teams in the North American Challenger Series, most recently with Dream Team. In his six games with the team, Dream Team won three games, with games on Bard, Braum, Janna and Thresh.
"I'm very excited that I will be joining TSM," Biofrost said in the team's release. "Although I'm a rookie, I hope that with hard work and the support from both the community and my teammates I can become the support that TSM needs in order to compete at the highest level."
