Jungler Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett has parted ways with Team Liquid, the organization announced on Twitter Wednesday. The announcement comes on the same day fellow top-tier jungler Yeu-jin “Reignover” Kim left his organization, Immortals.

The 18-year-old Dardoch first joined Team Liquid Academy in August 2015, and has been with the organization ever since. He was promoted to the team’s starting jungler at the start of the 2016 Spring Split, replacing long-time starter Christian “IWDominate” Rivera, and Dardoch instantly left his mark, winning the NA LCS Rookie of the Split award.
Dardoch’s clashes with Team Liquid and specifically former head coach Yoon-sub “Locodoco” Choi were well-documented -- the team released a documentary that heavily featured arguments between the two. Dardoch was suspended at the start of the Summer Split for “insubordination,” but after the team performed poorly with substitute Galen “Moon” Holgate, Dardoch was substituted back into the lineup just a week later. After Dardoch played out the rest of the season with the team, Team Liquid instead chose to play third-string mid laner Lyonel “Arcsecond” Pfaender at the jungle position in the Regional Qualifiers.
In August, it was reported that Dardoch would be leaving Team Liquid for Echo Fox. Echo Fox even announced the transaction, but deleted all evidence of it shortly after. No roster transactions can be announced by teams before contracts expire in November.
