How to turn off the custom MSI announcers

Sometimes it can get hard to focus with Phreak going off

Riot Games

To celebrate the 2018 Mid-Season Invitational, Riot added some special announcers in-game. European regions has Trevor “Quickshot” Henry and Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere and North America has David “Phreak” Turley and Sam “Kobe” Hartman-Kenzler. While this is all very exciting and fun, we know that sometimes it can be a little hard to play in your promos when the announcers are kind of distracting. Don’t worry. You can turn them off.

If you open your settings in-game and go to the sound section, there’s a box you can check off to disable the announcers.

Note that you can’t do this from the in-client settings, only once you’re actually in game. Luckily, it only takes a second to do and shouldn’t deter you from getting to lane (or maybe invading the enemy jungle) on time.

The special shoutcasters will only be available until May 20, so you won’t have to worry about them for long.
