How to watch the Worlds 2019 Play-In Stage: schedule and stream

Europe, North America, and Korea all have Play-In teams this year

The play-in stage of the World Championship is one of the most fun and under-appreciated parts of the event. Play-ins can give us a preview of some of the major region teams that may have a big impact later in the tournament, as well as introduce us to the Cinderella teams we’ll all be rooting for.

While the Cinderella teams are always tough to predict, this play-in stage has as much major region talent as we’ve ever seen. Clutch Gaming is one of North America’s brightest teams. Splyce surprised most of Europe with its strong finish to the regular season and playoffs. Korea’s Damwon Gaming proved themselves the better team in a grueling five-game series against Kingzone during the regional qualifiers.

Just like previous years, the play-in will pit teams against each other in four groups. The top two teams from each group then advance to the knockout stage. The winner of each knockout stage match will earn a spot in the World Championship Group Stage.

The play-in stage of the Worlds 2019 will start on Wednesday, Oct. 2. All of the games will be streamed live in Riot’s Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as on lolesports.com.
