2017 World Championship on-air team announced

Bringing in talent from every major region!

Riot Games

On Friday, Riot announced the entire on-air talent team that would be coming to the 2017 World Championship.

The roster of talent is massive including 22 different casters, hosts and personalities representing all of the game’s largest regions. Alongside a whole host of new faces, including North America’s newest casters, Clayton “CaptainFlowers” Raines and Julian “PastryTime” Carr, are some of the stalwart favorites, not just from the LCS regions, but from the LCK and LPL, such as Indiana “Froskurinn” Black and Chris “Papasmithy” Smith.

Making a return to the World Championships in a slightly different role is Alberto “Crumbz” Rengifo. Having gone to the competition over the last several years as an guest analyst, this will be Rengifo’s first trip as an official caster after he started casting LCK matches for SpoTV earlier this year.

It’s unclear if this considerable list of talent will be at every stage of the event, or will be spread throughout the competition as it moves through China. Also unclear is if any casters other than those from LCS regions will be handling larger games, such as the semifinals and finals.
