With all the teams finally locked in to the 2017 World Championship, it’s time to find out who exactly will play each other in the Play-in round of the tournament.
To do that, Riot is hosting the first of its two World Championship Draw shows on Tuesday. The draw will include all 12 teams competing in the Play-in stage. The teams will be sorted into four groups of three with each one getting drawn randomly into one of four different groups.
These groups will determine the opponents that teams have to play in the first round of the Play-in stage to determine who advances to stage two and as what seed. If all this sounds a little confusing, Riot gave us a helpful little graphic to keep everything straight.

While there are a wide variety of smaller regions included in the Play-in — like, Brazil, CIS, Japan, Latin America, Oceania and Turkey — the teams likely to get the most attention will be the third seeds from Europe, North America, LMS and China, who will all hope to advance to the Group Stage and join the other representatives from their regions.
The Draw Show begins September 12 at 8:00 a.m. ET and can be watched on Riot’s Lolesports site.
