In the final quarterfinal match of the 2017 World Championship, Cloud9 will take on Team WE for a place as one of the four best teams in the world.
Cloud9 represent North America’s last hope at this tournament. The team had a strong performance in group stages — even if they did lose two games in the dreaded, NA week two — making both SK telecom T1 games look close and advancing past the number one Chinese seed, Edward Gaming.
Team WE, too, had a strong group as they pushed past both North America’s TSM and EU’s Misfits to claim first place in Group D. While many of their games ended up being fairly close, WE showed that they are comfortable winning those games thanks to their strong teamfighting.
The series will be a best of five and is scheduled to begin at 4:00 a.m. ET. The winner of the series will advance to the semifinals to take on Samsung Galaxy.
