The group stage of the 2016 League of Legends has concluded, with the eight quarterfinal entrants confirmed. All three Korean teams made it to the knockout stage, with two of three Chinese teams, one of three teams each from Europe and North America and one Wildcard team, Albus NoX Luna, making a surprise quarterfinals appearance.
The knockout matchups were drawn immediately after the conclusion of Group B’s matches Sunday. The quarterfinal matches will take place from Thursday, October 13 through Sunday, October 17 in Chicago.
SKT will take on RNG in a rematch of MSI, and with ROX vs. EDward Gaming in the other matchup on that side, an SKT vs. ROX semifinal matchup is setting up as a possibility. On the other side of the bracket, H2K will face Albus NoX and Cloud9 has to deal with red hot Samsung Galaxy.
