Day 6 of the 2016 League of Legends World Championships will see the conclusion of Group C and gets started at 7 p.m. EST on Friday.
Group C may be the most standard of all the groups. A Chinese powerhouse EDG is at the top - though they did fall to International Wildcard Team INTZ in the first week - with the EULCS’s H2K and LMS’s ahq e-Sports battling for second. There is, however, an added twist in that this group may represent both region’s only chance at a team in the Quarterfinals, which should make their game - the second of the day - extra competitive.
The first game of the day will feature Edward Gaming looking for a bit of revenge against INTZ, while the Brazilian team will look to repeat the success of fellow IWC qualifier Albus NoX Luna, who are already through to the quarterfinals. The day’s final game is likely to be its most exciting with the group’s first and second place teams after the first week: ahq e-Sports facing off against EDG.
Just like last week, each match will have an alternate stream that showcases each games featured match up. These will highlight different aspects of the game, as well as feature guest casters.
