The semifinal round of the 2016 League of Legends World Championship has arrived. We’re in New York City now, with two series to be played at historic Madison Square Garden. It all starts with two of the most storied organizations in competitive League history, as defending Worlds champions SK Telecom T1 take on Korean champions ROX Tigers in a rematch of last year’s finals.
The series will begin Friday at 6 p.m. ET, and will be played in a best-of-five format. The games will be streamed live on Twitch and Youtube, or on the Lolesports website.
The winner of this series will go on to play the winner of the other semifinal, which will pit Samsung Galaxy against H2K. If Samsung wins that semifinal, we will have an all-Korean world final for the second straight year.
For more on the matchup and the series history, make sure to check out our extensive preview. Also of note: after switching back and forth between Sun-gu “Blank” Kang and Seong-woong “Bengi” Bae throughout the tournament, SKT’s listed starter at jungler is Bengi.
