While Samsung Galaxy may not be the name of the team anymore, the personalized championship skins for last year’s Worlds winners have finally been revealed, or at least, their recalls have been.
In a tweet from League of Legends Germany, we got our first look at the skins thanks to the promotional video that shows each player demonstrating their personalized recall. Each recall animation was designed with a little help from the players, both in description and demonstration, and also includes each player’s signature just under their champion.
The skins — which will be for Gnar, Jarvan IV, Ezreal, Taliyah, Xayah and Rakan — are a little tough to see in the video but seem to bring in the traditional light blue and white of Samsung, while incorporating a little bit of black and navy blue. The skins’ recall animations almost all include the Samsung Galaxy logo as well as a few unique animations specific to the characters. As for Xayah and Rakan, while they both have their own separate recalls, they also have a joint recall that has them both lifting one side of the Summoner’s Cup.
According to Riot Stellari, a skins producer for Riot Games, the skins all have significant cultural references to South Korea, as requested by the players. Xayah and Rakan are based off of Korean magpies, Ezreal is based off of hwarang (flower knights) and more. It’s a pretty cool theme for the team.
All of the skins are 1350 RP and will be Legacy, which means they’ll only be available for a limited amount of time.
Jarvan IV (Ambition)
This is the first we have seen of the completed Samsung Galaxy World Championship skins so far, but this post will be updated as more details become available.
