Patch 9.7 isn’t bringing any particularly big or exciting events, but it is bringing a ton of balance changes for champions and runes.
Kayle is getting tweaked so she’ll be more reliant on items and Urgot is getting nerfed, since he was made a little too strong last patch. Vision-based runes like Ghost Poro, Zombie Ward, and Eyeball Collection are also getting revamps to how they work.
Butcher’s Bridge is returning this patch with new ARAM features being tested as well. You’ll be able to ban out champions you don’t want to play or play against, and some new items have made their way into the game mode. Keep in mind that these changes are just being tested and will not stick around, unless players like them.
Also coming this patch is Ivern’s first skin since he released, Dunkmaster Ivern. Alongside him, Jarvan IV is getting a Hextech crafting exclusive skin, so here’s to hoping that you get lucky with your loot box rolls or that you saved a lot of Gemstones.

[NEW] SPOOKY :: Your wards now spawn a Ghost Poro when they expire, giving vision in the area until it’s scared away be enemy champions. Wards killed by enemies don’t spawn Ghost Poros.
[NEW] BOO :: Spawning a Ghost Poro grants 2 adaptive force up to 10 times (max 20). At 10 Ghost Poro spawns, gain an additional 10 adaptive force.
[UPD] Zombie Ward
No longer grants on-hit damage versus champions when clearing a ward. Ward clears now grant stacks of adaptive force. Gain extra adaptive force at full stacks.
