After just over 24 hours on the live servers, Kai’Sa has been hotfixed by Riot according to her designer, Jeevun “Jag” Sidhu, who announced the buffs in a tweet.
According to Sidhu’s tweet, the hotfix includes changes to her base attack damage and her Q, Icathian Rain. Here are all the exact changes that were made:
Base AD increased from 62.46 to 65
Q Mana Cost decreased from 55 to 45
Q Cooldown decreased from 10-6 to 8-6
These changes come after her first day of play, where Kai’Sa was noticeably weaker than other AD Carries, even by new champion standards, earning just a 39 percent win rate in her best role. Riot did give a bit of a heads up on this hotfix in Kai’Sa’s AMA on reddit, where Sidhu mentioned that they were looking into a few tweaks for her soon. Turns out he meant even sooner than we thought.
While we don’t have a lot of data to go on, these changes should help Kai’Sa reach a more competitive winrate to bring her in line with other AD Carries.
If Kai’Sa gets anymore hotfixes along the way, this post will be updated to reflect them.
