Patch 7.13 jungle changes: Buffs to Shaco, Kha’Zix and Kindred

It may finally be Shaco’s time to shine!

Junglers have faced quite a few changes over the last several patches and it seems that the brief moment of dominant tank junglers is on its way out. Patch 7.13 brings with it a few significant buffs to the damage of some of the more aggressive assassin junglers that could bring them back into flavor.

The biggest of these buffs was to Rek’Sai who was already making herself known as one of the jungle’s strongest assassins. Her changes ended up being so big, she got her own post you can check out here.


Q - Taste Their Fear

BASE DAMAGE :: 70/95/120/145/170 >>> 60/85/110/135/160

RATIO :: 1.2 bonus attack damage >>> 1.1 bonus attack damage

ISOLATION BONUS :: +50% damage >>> +65% damage

R - Void Assault

INVISIBILITY DURATION :: 1.25 seconds >>> 1.5 seconds

EVOLVED INVISIBILITY DURATION :: Upon entering brush while out of combat, Kha’Zix becomes invisible for 2.5 seconds >>> 3 seconds

EVOLVED INVISIBILITY LINGER :: Up to 1.25 seconds >>> 1.5 seconds after exiting brush

Thanks to these changes, Kha’Zix will be rewarded a little more for jumping on enemies that are separated from their teammates, as well as a bit more stealth time to help him get the Isolation bonus in the first place.


Passive - Mark of the Kindred

RANGE PER MARKS :: Kindred’s basic attacks and Mounting Dread gain 75 range at 4 stacks, plus 25 range every 4 stacks >>> every 3 stacks thereafter

W - Wolf's Frenzy

ADDITIONAL DAMAGE PER MARK :: 0.5% enemy current health >>> 1% enemy current health

E - Mounting Dread

BASE DAMAGE :: 40/60/80/100/120 >>> 60/80/100/120/140

Kindred wasn’t in a great place coming out of her recent update, and this change, should go a long way in helping them become a little more viable. Most of all the buffs to Wolf’s Frenzy as well as Mounting Dread are a huge boost to Kindred’s biggest strength: their damage.


E - Two-Shiv Poison

BASE DAMAGE :: 5/35/65/95/125 >>> 50/75/100/125/150

RATIO :: 0.75 total attack damage >>> 0.6/0.75/0.9/1.05/1.2 bonus attack damage

DAMAGE TYPE :: Magic >>> Physical

[NEW] FINISH HIM :: Now deals up to 50% additional damage based on target's missing health

[REM] FINISH HIM :: No longer deals 3 ~ 8% missing health damage based on character level

Now here are some changes to a champion we haven’t seen in a long time. Shaco has always been a weird champion thanks to his hybrid damage and this should actually go a long way in fixing those strange parts of his kit. These probably aren’t quite enough to make Shaco a conventional pick, but they could be the start down a more traditional road for League’s most famous clown.
