The 2018 World Championship is just about here, which means it’s missions time! This year there are a whole ton of missions, varying from playing games to watching esports. It’s easy to get lost in the sauce, so we’re putting out our usual guide on how to play, craft and make the most of this event season.
This year, Riot Games is mashing all the October events into one mega event. Marketed as “Worlds season,” there are two (or maybe three?) events this month. We’re dealing with Worlds, Tales from the Rift (previously known as the Harrowing) and maybe even an after-party featuring some new Popstar skins.
As usual, these missions all have a timer on them, but their length will vary from one month to about a week to complete. Make sure you finish your missions before they’re gone! Note that all the weekly missions have to be completed in 5v5 PVP matchmade games only! This means no Twisted Treeline games and no bot games!
As usual, you finish missions to get tokens that you can craft into loot. However, this time around, you can buy a Worlds Pass, which lets you get more access to tokens. If you’re a collector and you want all of the loot, you will definitely have to cop one of those.

Riot notes that the borders and chromas will be available from Nov. 16 until Nov. 19 as well. We’re not sure if this means they’ll be available to buy in the shop or if they’ll be redeemable through other means.
Also it’s worth nothing that Championship Ashe’s golden chroma from the 2017 World Championship is not shown here, so she is likely unavailable to unlock.
Popstar Kai’Sa Prestige Edition (2500 Tokens)

This is a whole skin, separate from Popstar Kai’Sa. It has it’s own borders, visual effects, model and splash art.
