Doublelift releases video explaining League’s main issue

Maybe League changes too often

Thursday afternoon, Team Liquid AD carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng dropped a video essay on to his YouTube channel. This content is definitely different from the usual montages and silly videos that we see from him, but the video gave a solution to the recent problems with frequent changes that players have been dealing with in season 8.

Peng uses examples from other games, like StarCraft: Brood War and Fortnite, to support his claims about the game’s constant changes, making for a pretty well-researched and clean video. Combined with the smooth transitions and visuals, his narration is easy to understand.

He goes on to explain how patches in League are an important part of the game. Change is good, but it might help to have these patches less frequently. That would give pro and amateur players more time to adapt and find their strengths in each patch.

We all hope that more pro players make videos like this in the future. After all, a good six minute video is way easier to understand than a handful of cryptic tweets.
