To say that ADC got a shake up with patch 8.11 would be quite the understatement. Instead, marksmen ended up with something closer to an earthquake. After all, every single marksmen champion got a tweak to their base stats, including damage and health, but more importantly, all of their most-built items are different too.
With a brand new item coming to bot lane, and changes to 12 more, let’s take a look at all the changes patch 8.11 made to marksmen items.

This is a brand new item designed to help ADCs better kite their opponents and open fights with a little bit of burst damage. The passive, which makes attacks stronger if you haven’t attacked for a certain amount of time, also grants a bit of movement speed, helping an ADC get around in a fight or out of danger if a pinch.
Infinity Edge

One of League’s most familiar items got quite a few changes this patch. Instead of setting up for a massive critical strike like it used to, the new Infinity Edge aims for a little bit more predictability with 15 percent of the damage from critical strikes being applied as true damage. This should be somewhat useful against all targets, but it’s tanks that will feel it the most. It also has a silly new build path of two B.F. Swords, just like it’s AP cousin, Rabadon’s Deathcap — which builds out of two Needlessly Large Rods.
Essence Reaver

This item has really never made sense. In theory, it should help caster marksmen cast more spells without running out of mana, but in the past it was too reliant on crit, or simply too ineffective to make it feel good to use. This patch should, hopefully, address that by making it much more reliable. Now, every basic attack restores one percent of your missing mana and every time you cast an ultimate ability followed by a basic attack it will give you bonus attack speed and a 20 percent refund on the cooldown of your other abilities.
Guardian Angel
This isn’t a complicated change, but it’s a good one. Guardian Angel now builds out of a Chain Vest instead of just a Cloth Armor giving ADCs a little more defensive flexibility in their build. The downside is, the item is just a little more expensive now.
Armor penetration items
Armor pen items are going to be fairly similar with the one change of all the penetration stats being aimed at total armor now, instead of bonus armor. Also, Lord Dominik’s Regards has had the Giant Slayer passive removed.
