Patch 7.10 meta changes: Heimerdinger rules

This is his Rift now.

In patch 7.10, Heimerdinger got some recent upgrades that improved his win rate a whole lot. None of the changes are too huge, but the adjustments made to his turrets, rockets and grenades seem to be helping the smart yordle out.

The Dinger has always been a bit of a menace in the top lane. While he was never really doing that well, he was always there and it was awful for any melee champs during the early game. Unfortunately, he’s back top again, but he’s ditched the Zz’rot and Banner of Command build.

With the new tank item changes, he can build a Banshee’s Veil and live happily with his turrets. A Liandry’s Torment is also perfect for gaining a bit of health while dishing out that awful burn passive.

Mid-lane Heimer is mostly the same from what we’ve seen in the past, but now it’s easier for him to sit in his Triangle Nest of Doom. As usual, cop a Morellonomicon and a Zhonya’s Hourglass to output some damage while you’re frozen. A Rylai’s Crystal Septer is also nice so they can’t run away as quickly from your nest. He’s gotten a significant win rate boost here and we’re happy for him. Now he’s back to being just as deadly as he is fluffy!

If you’re having a tough time against Heimer top, maybe try bringing out Sion, since he can toss those turrets around no problem. Otherwise, Yasuo is a great pick, since he can quickly zoom through those turrets for extra damage.
