Riot has announced that season 7 does indeed end on November 7, a day before preseason starts. Season 8 will begin on January 16, giving you plenty of time to get used to all the massive changes preseason will bring.
After the season ends, you will get rewards distributed to your account according to what rank you ended with. While every year the rewards are fairly similar (a border, an icon and a Victorious skin if you got Gold or higher), they’re a little bit different this year.
You’ll get all that usual stuff but for the players who earned Victorious Graves will also earn a chroma skin for each queue they ranked Gold or higher in. This means that solo/duo queue players will get the base skin and a special solo/duo chroma, flex queue-ers will get their own chroma and 3v3 players will also get their own. If you get Gold or higher in all three, you get all three.
Here’s a simple breakdown of what you get by rank:
- Summoner icon(s) showing your rank in each queue type
- Loading screen border
- Profile insignia
- Victorious ward skin (if you ranked Silver+ in at least two queue types)
- Victorious Graves
- Victorious Graves chroma (per queue type)
Unlike past seasons, you will also get a special reward for honor levels! If your honor level is at three or higher, you will get a special shiny ward skin to show off.
As usual, only good kids get ranked rewards. If you’ve been naughty, you get nothing, even if you’re Challenger. The specific restrictions for qualifying for ranked rewards are below:
- Players with bans or chat restrictions active when the season ends.
- Players issued a ban of seven days or more after 8/22/2017.
- Players banned for boosting during the 2017 season.
With all that being said, get grinding! There’s a lot of work to be done before the season ends, and I’m sure you want all those rewards. After all, once Victorious Graves, along with those icons and other loot, is given out, he won’t be available ever again.
