The LCS is about to round the halfway mark as week five is set to begin. For the first time in 2018, teams will get the opportunity for a rematch, but not before they play their final opponent of the first half.
In EU, the marquee match of the week will be on Friday when Team Vitality, currently first in the league with a record of 7-1, take on the number two team, G2 Esports. This is the first time the two have faced and will be far and away the most impressive team that Vitality has had to face so far.
Meanwhile in North America, two of the region’s oldest rivals will face off for the first time in 2018 when TSM takes on Cloud9. While this match up has been tough to call in the past, at the moment it seems hard to believe anything but a Cloud9 victory as they sit at the top of the table in a tie with Echo Fox for first place. TSM, on the other hand, are still struggling to find their footing with this new roster that has a record of just 4-4 so far this split.
All of the action will begin on Friday when the EU LCS kicks off at 12:00 p.m. EST on the Riot Games Twitch channel.
