During Thursday’s LCK series between SK Telecom T1 and Samsung Galaxy, SKT AD Carry Jun-sik “Bang” Bae barely missed his 1000th career kill during a fountain dive in the closing moments of the series.
As a whole, the two-game series was fairly one-sided, with SK Telecom dominating in almost every facet. As always, the two players leading SKT’s winning charge were Bang and star midlaner Sang-hyeok “Faker” Lee, at least for the first game, with both getting four kills. In the second, however, Faker managed seven kills while Bang put out the most damage on the team but was unable to pick up kills. Bang’s one kill in the game as SKT was about to end brought him to 999 career kills.
Which lead to this:
Though he doesn’t give too much of a reaction, you can see the clear disappointment from Bang that he couldn’t quite reach this career milestone at the end of the successful series. Though, it’s hard not to wonder whether or not he could have gotten the kill if Faker were a little more willing to commit to the dive. The Unkillable Demon King doesn’t want to sully that sweet KDA!
The play was similar to the successful fountain dive that gained Team SoloMid’s former AD Carry, Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng his 1000th kill.
