Gen.G support Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in is often regarded as “NA’s only hope” for winning Worlds due to his past on Team Dignitas. He took home a championship title in 2017 and now? He sat with us to go through a bunch of questions in a Rift Herald Lightning Round.
Our Lightning Round questions come from players we’ve talked to already, Vox Media employees and me, the site lead for The Rift Herald. If you’ve been reading all of our interviews, I just want to take a second to say I’m really sorry that players keep picking the same question. I know you might be tired of the candle scent question at this point ... but I hope you’re not too tired, because CoreJJ picked that one, too.

Where is your ideal location to retire?
CoreJJ: Whenever I hear the word “retirement” comes up, it’s in my head like, “Maybe it’s time to retire.” So I just want to stay in Korea as long as possible!
Pepsi or Coke?
CoreJJ: Coke, no doubt.
Which country would you go to, if you were to travel overseas? (From EDG’s Scout.)
CoreJJ: No, I’m not going anywhere!
The Rift Herald: You just want to stay in Korea all the time!
CoreJJ: Yeah, for now.
What skin do you want if/when you win Worlds?
CoreJJ: Maybe it’s time to do Tahm Kench after all.
The Rift Herald: You always said you wanted a hipster Tahm Kench! I remember that from an old interview.
CoreJJ: I didn’t get to do it that time, so I want to do it this time.
What’s your favorite season?
CoreJJ: The weather at the moment — autumn.
What is your favorite holiday?
CoreJJ: All the red days (holidays in calendars are labeled as red) are the same to me. If I had to choose one, I’d pick the day after Worlds.
What is your favorite candle scent?
CoreJJ: I’m not educated enough about candles to answer this question.
What are you being for Halloween? (Of course, you’re making it to Finals, so you won’t be celebrating Halloween, but what would you be for Halloween?)
CoreJJ: That gives me negative thoughts about having to celebrate Halloween, since that means I won’t be in Finals!
