Worlds 2018: A Lightning Round with RNG’s Xiaohu

He likes his coffee sweet

Riot Games

Royal Never Give Up is undefeated in the Worlds 2018 Group Stages so far, and that’s partially thanks to mid laner Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-Hao. The LPL teams are destroying every other region in their path to the cup, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t time to stop for a quick Lightning Round between the brutal wins.

As a quick reminder, the Rift Herald Lightning Round is made up of questions from players that have already participated in our Lightning Rounds, Vox Media employees and me, your lovely Rift Herald site lead. We try to get through as many questions as we can in the short interview time slot, and boy, did Xiaohu get through a lot of questions!

The interview below has been edited for clarity and length. Riot Games provided the translator for this interview.

What game console is/was your favorite?

Xiaohu: I don’t really play consoles.

What was the song stuck in your head?

Xiaohu: A song by a Chinese singer, Dust in Fireworks.

What toppings do you get on your pizza?

Xiaohu: Mushroom, pepper and chicken.

How do you take your coffee?

Xiaohu: I add a lot of milk and sugar!

If you were an animal, what would you be?

Xiaohu: I have something in mind, but I don’t want to say it in public. [laughs] I’d prefer something that can run really fast.

Cats or dogs?

Xiaohu: I can’t choose between cat or dog, because I can’t get along with them. I can’t touch them.

The Rift Herald: Are you allergic?

Xiaohu: Maybe not allergic, but I just don’t want to touch them.

You have to make an impressive dinner for your partner. What are you making?

Xiaohu: Rather than saying what I will cook for her, I’ll say what I can cook for her. I can only cook sausage.

What is your favorite Pokémon starter?

Xiaohu: Charmander.

What Pokémon would you want as a companion in real life?

Xiaohu: Is there anything pretty? Or hot? [laughs]

If you had to make your own League team, what would you name it?

Xiaohu: I would name it LoL Team. [laughs] If they’d allow it.

Who would you want to play you in a movie adaptation of your life?

Xiaohu: If possible, I would like Stephen Chow to play me.

The last task: Contribute a question to add to the bag to ask players in future interviews.

Xiaohu: I’m going to think about something disgusting.

The Rift Herald: That’s fine!

Xiaohu: When you take off your socks, do you ever smell them? [laughs]
