Worlds 2018: A Lightning Round with Flash Wolves’ SwordArt

There’s a really obvious reason his username is SwordArt

Riot Games

Flash Wolves’ support Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh came hot off of a win against Afreeca Freecs and joiend us for a quick Lightning Round.

For those unfamiliar, we have a bag filled with questions (some are League related, most aren’t). The players we’ve interviewed in the past have contributed questions to the bag, but at this point, a lot of the questions are from a mix of Vox Media employees and my brain.

The interview below has been edited for clarity and length. Riot Games provided a translator for this interview.

You have to make an impressive dinner for your partner. What are you making?

SwordArt: Partner as in a duo or a teammate?

The Rift Herald: Like a girlfriend, like a date!

SwordArt: I don’t have a girlfriend.

The Rift Herald: Hypothetically!

SwordArt: I can only make the convenience noodles from shops! [laughs]

The Rift Herald: That’s fine! I think Blaber from Cloud9 said the same thing.

If you could live in one video game world, which would you pick?

SwordArt: So my ID comes from ...

The Rift Herald: Sword Art Online!

SwordArt: Yes! There is a character named Kirito. He does everything by himself. I want to be him!

Which country would you go to, if you were to go overseas? (Question from EDG’s Scout.)

SwordArt: I want to go to Japan. I want to go there in the winter because I want to eat the crabs.

What champion do you want your skin for if/when you win Worlds?

SwordArt: I’ll pick Thresh because when I started playing League of Legends, it was the first champion I got familiar with. It’s kind of ... fit for me.

What toppings do you get on your pizza?

SwordArt: Sausage and cheese!

If you could be an MMO class IRL, which would you pick?

SwordArt: I would pick mage. I think the mage character are splendid in image. And maybe when my teammates are dead in front of me, I can still use my skills to get my kills.

Beef, chicken, pork or fish?

SwordArt, with no hesitation: Beef.

The final task: Contribute a question to add to the bag to ask in future interviews.

SwordArt: What do you want to do when you win the World Championship? Do you want to keep playing or quit?
