European runners-up Origen have quickly made a move to replace their departed bot lane. The team has signed Konstantinos "FORG1VENGRE" Tzortziou-Napoleon and Glenn "Hybrid" Doornenbal to replace Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen and Alfonso "Mithy" Aguirre Rodriguez, as announced on the team's Lolesports roster page. Earlier Wednesday, it was announced that Zven and Mithy would be joining G2.
Zven (formerly known as "Niels") and Mithy had been Origen's starting bottom lane since the team's first LCS split in Summer 2015. Origen finished in second place in back-to-back EU LCS splits and made a surprise semifinal run at Worlds, led by dominating performances from that bottom lane.
In Forg1ven and Hybrid, Origen is able to replace Zven and Mithy with sufficient star power. Forg1ven has long been considered one of the best Western AD Carries in the world (a title only recently wrested away by Zven), and Hybrid had a very strong Spring Split with G2 before a disappointing MSI for the team.
Forg1ven and Hybrid will join a roster that includes Paul "SoaZ" Boyer, Maurice "Amazing" Stuckenschneider and Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage. Based on opening impressions of European rosters, G2, Origen, H2K and Fnatic seem like the four teams that will likely be in contention for the EU title.
Forg1ven was most recently with H2K, and the team wished him farewell on Twitter.
Good luck to our friend @FORG1VENGRE as he moves to Origen. We wish him the best of luck! pic.twitter.com/RJs7UI4Li2
