The newest European LCS team has signed its mid laner. Misfits has brought on former Unicorns of Love and Origen mid laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage, the organization announced Friday.

As Misfits’ Facebook posts notes, PoE first burst onto the scene at IEM San Jose in 2014 with the rest of the Unicorns of Love, gaining a reputation for unconventional picks and outperforming expectations. UOL finished in second place in its very first LCS split in Spring 2015, and came up just short of qualifying for Worlds that year.
PoE left UOL for Origen before the 2016 season, replacing Enrique “xPeke” Cedeño Martinez and playing 50 of the team’s 54 LCS games over the course of the year. But Origen’s poor performances plagued everyone on the roster, and PoE’s performance struggled compared to his time on the Unicorns.
At Misfits, PoE will join a young group of talented players who ran through the European Challenger Series in the Summer Split and earned promotion. AD Carry Steven “Hans Sama” Liv is one of the most highly-touted prospects in the region, while top laner Barney “Alphari” Morris and support Dong-geun “IgNar” Lee performed extremely well in the Challenger Series. PoE replaces Marcin “Selfie” Wolski, who was Misfits’ starting mid laner in the Challenger Series and was previously a substitute with H2K.
