On Wednesday, Riot held the group draw for the Play-In section of their Mid-Season Invitational tournament. This stage of the competition will include representatives from a number of the world’s smaller regions as well as the North America LCS and Taiwan’s LMS.
The groups locked in during Riot’s live draw show in which the eight qualified teams were drawn from two pools then placed in either Group A or Group B. The teams in each group will play the other members of their group twice each.

TBD - TCL (Turkey)
Rampage - LJL (Japan)
Virtus Pro - LCL (Commonwealth of Independent States)
Lyon Gaming - LLN (Latin America North)
Gigabyte Marines - GPL (South East Asia)
Isurus Gaming - CLS (Latin America South)
The Play-In stage will follow a group format for Round 1, with the NALCS and LMS regions receiving a bye before a double elimination round that will decide which three teams move on to the main MSI competition.
