The North American LCS has returned for the 2018 Summer Split, where the league’s 10 teams will face off with a trip to the World Championships on the line.
Last year’s tournament was the closest in recent memory, with almost every finishing spot coming down to tie-breakers that were played on the final day. In the end, 100 Thieves and Echo Fox had the first and second spots respectively coming out of the regular season, followed by TSM, Team Liquid, Cloud9 and Clutch Gaming who will all look to return to the playoffs this split. As for the non-playoff participants, Counter Logic Gaming, FlyQuest, OpTic Gaming and Golden Guardians, The summer is the perfect time to bounce back and prove that their struggles from last split are behind them.
With every team coming into the split with something to prove, and still in the hunt for Worlds, this summer should be an exciting one for the NA LCS. Just like last year, every game of this split can be seen on the Riot Games Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as at lolesports.com.
