Origen has been doing a lot of teasing over the last several days about who exactly is on their team, but it seems that all the speculation can finally be put to rest as the team showed off its final member, AD Carry Konstantinos-Napoleon “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou.
The first four players of the new Origen line up were announced in the weeks leading up to the EU LCS Masters tournament. The announcements began with legendary Korean jungler Choi “Insec” In-seok and continued with Kin “Expect” Dae-han in the top lane and Henrik “Froggen” Hansen mid.
Finally, the team teased their bottom lane with a duo of puppets cowering near a dragon. While there weren’t names attached to that particular post, we now know that the support will be Jesse “Jesiz” Le, on loan from Fnatic. As the for AD Carry, clever fan speculation led to a few correct guesses, but there was no official confirmation of Tzortziou joining the team until the announcement today.
Throughout his extensive, almost five year long professional career, few players have been as controversial as Tzortziou. While he has never been far from the conversation of the best AD Carries in Europe, he is also known for his larger than life personality which can often put him at odds with fans and even teammates. Tzortziou took a brief leave from the League of Legends scene shortly after helping H2K reach the semifinals of the 2016 World Championship.
