Team Liquid take home the NA LCS trophy for the 2018 Spring Split with a clean 3-0 sweep of 100 Thieves at the Finals in Miami. Team Liquid will move on to play as the North American representatives at the Mid-Season Invitational.
The first game of the series seemed to be fairly close, right up until Team Liquid jungler Jake “Xmithie” Puchero managed a stunning Baron steal that gave the team complete control of the game and helped them finish off the 100 Thieves Nexus in just under 30 minutes.
Game two was all about Liquid who took early control, but once again, a critical fight around the Baron pit that gave them the lead that would end the game. This time, Liquid’s hero was Finals MVP mid laner Eugene “Pobelter” Park, whose incredible Shurima Shuffle took down nearly every member of 100 Thieves, and helped Liquid secure the Baron and end push towards the end of the game.

In the final game of the series, things were about the same as Team Liquid started out with an incredible early game that transitioned into complete control. Both Park and Liquid AD Carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng had absolutely phenomenal games getting five kills each as they helped bring Team Liquid the organization’s first ever NA LCS Championship.
Both Finalist teams will represent North America in the Rift Rivals tournament later this year.
