100 Thieves’ coach, Neil “pr0lly” Hammad, has been named NA LCS Coach of the Split for Spring 2018, Riot announced during this weekend’s broadcast of the semifinal matches playoff matches.
This is Hammad’s first split coaching in North America, where he took 100 Thieves, one of the league’s newest teams, to a first place finish in the regular season, as well as Finals appearance next week, where they will play for the title of Spring Split Champions in Miami.
Before he joined 100 Thieves as the beginning of this season, Hammad was a mid lane player in the NA LCS for Complexity Gaming, but it was in Europe that he began his coaching career and found his greatest success in League of Legends. In the winter of 2014, Hammad join the EU LCS team H2K as a coach for the upcoming 2015 Spring Split. During that split the team took home third place in the playoffs, and Hammad himself won his first Coach of the Split award. Hammad helped H2K reach the semifinals of the 2016 World Championship and remained the team’s coach until he left for 100 Thieves last winter.
