Krepo steps down from EU LCS broadcast

The announcement comes after a swift exit from MSI.

League of Legends shoutcaster Mitch “Krepo” Voorspoels announced via his personal Twitter that he will be stepping down from the EU LCS broadcast, effective immediately. Voorspoels exited the Mid-Season Invitational broadcast in May after photos of an explicit conversation leaked online.

His full statement reads as follows:

This announcement of his exit is his only tweet since his MSI departure.

Voorspoels has been well known in the League of Legends scene for quite some time, first gaining fame as the support for the Evil Geniuses in the EU LCS. He then briefly moved to North America, acting as a professional streamer for Cloud 9. Finally, Voorspoels finished out his professional career as the starting support for the EU team Elements.

Shortly after his professional retirement, Voorspoels joined Riot as a shoutcaster for the EU LCS. It is unclear at this time if Voorspoels will ever return to the League of Legends spotlight, although he does mention staying in the esports space when he is ready to return to work.
