Update: Neither of these arenas are used for LCK anymore! These directions may still work if you need to go to the OGN or SPOTV studios for different games or events, but if you need to go to LCK, you should check out our directions on how to get to Lol Park instead!
Are you in Seoul for a trip and want to make it out to an LCK match? Chances are, you have no idea what you’re doing, but luckily I went through all the pain and suffering to figure it out for you! (It was not actually pain or suffering - it was amazing.)
Buying tickets
Tickets for matches go on sale a little over a week before the games are played. Obviously tickets for more popular teams might sell out earlier, so just get your tickets as early as you can! Grab tickets through ticketlink!
Tickets are 4,000 won for gold seats, 2,000 won for silver and 1,000 won for bronze. The won to dollar rate changes every day, but $1 is 1,128.46 won as of writing this. That means tickets for gold seats is approximately $3.50 - which is extremely cheap.
You pick your seats when you buy your tickets, but keep in mind that the blue side team sits on the left (stage right) and the red side team sits on the right (stage left) - and they don’t rotate seats after game one. Team fans sit on the respective side that their team is playing on. If you don’t care, you can just pick seats anywhere. (I made the mistake of getting tickets for the MVP side when I was rooting for SKT! Whoops!)
The screens are up fairly high in both arenas, so I wouldn’t recommend sitting in the first row unless you love breaking your neck. Row two and beyond should be fine, though!
You’ll have to set up a PayCo account, but just follow the directions on screen - they’re all in English.
After getting your tickets, remember these important things:
- Where is your game? Is it at the OGN studios or the SPOTV studios?
- Bring any form of photo ID to pick up your tickets. (Passport works fine!)
- Ticket pick-up starts an hour before the match does.
- There are no refreshments to buy at the stadiums, but many places to eat outside and around the area!
- Unlike the NA LCS studios, there is also nowhere to purchase merchandise for the teams or games.
Great, so you’ve secured your tickets! Now it’s time to go to the matches. These guides will be for public transport because it’s cheap! Of course, you can just take a cab to the studios, but that can be a pricier option depending on what part of Seoul you’re in.
Getting to the OGN e-stadium (OGN studios)
Take whichever line is convenient for you to the Digital Media City subway stop. I recommend the orange line, which is line 6, since the Incheon Airport subway is often crowded and a little confusing.
Once you get to the subway station, leave out of exit 9. (There will be signs pointing you to it.) Exit 7 will also work, but any other exit will spit you out in the very wrong place. From there, you just have to walk a couple blocks to the stadium.
You can cut through the area, but going through this straight path is much easier. The stadium won’t have any signs or anything like that - it just looks like a normal office building. You will know you’re at the studio because there will be several flagpoles outside the entrance on the right side.
After entering, there’s an OGN desk in front of the elevators where you can pick up your tickets. The clerk should direct you where to go from there!
Getting to Nexon Arena (SPOTV studios)
This stadium was a little bit more tricky to find, though it was easy to take a subway there! You’re just going to take the green line, line 2, to Gangnam station.
Leave the subway station from exit 10. Signs will prompt you how to leave. There’s going to be a small underground market there - don’t be alarmed.
Head down the road straight ahead for a while. You’ll pass a bunch of shops, cafes and the like. You’re going to turn into a small road next to a Skin Food cosmetic shop. You’ll know you’re in the right place if you see a big metallic statue of a person in front of you! The Nexon Arena will be across the street from the statue.
Enter the arena through the stairs below the sign. There will be a sign outside listing the games for that day, so you should be able to see it easily.
Ticket pick-up happens at a desk as soon as you get there and it’s all in the same room.
If you get lost, Google Maps is your best friend! The app isn’t all that accurate when pinpointing your exact location (at least it wasn’t for me) but it should get you where you need to go.
