The brief midseason break is over, and it’s time for a return to LCS action. Europe kicks it all off Thursday with a pair of series, with four more to follow over the weekend.
H2K and Splyce start things off with a Group B clash Thursday. Both teams bring back the same rosters, but Splyce has replaced former coach Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi with Fayan “Gevous” Pertijs. Pertijs was most recently the head coach of RED Canids in Brazil, where he won the CBLoL Summer title.
That series is followed by a Group A clash between Fnatic and Misfits. Misfits finished higher in the regular season, but Fnatic triumphed in the playoffs with a 3-0 sweep in the third-place match.
Friday will see ROCCAT face three-time defending champions G2, and Vitality against Spring runners-up Unicorns of Love. The two new EU LCS squads will take to the rift Saturday, as the Mysterious Monkeys take on H2K and Ninjas in Pyjamas face Fnatic.
