EU LCS semifinalists Misfits announced Tuesday they would be parting ways with Spring Split jungler Lee “KaKAO” Byung-kwon following the team’s fourth place finish in the EU LCS Spring Split Playoffs.

On tap to replace KaKAO will be former Team ROCCAT and Giants Gaming jungler Nubar “Maxlore” Sarafian.

Despite being replaced, KaKAO was one of the best junglers in the EU LCS during the Spring Split, with the second highest KDA and third highest average assists per game. He was also first in Gold Difference at 15 minutes while Maxlore was last.

“I’m really happy with the opportunity Misfits has given me,” Maxlore said in the team’s press release. “I’m really excited to play with my new teammates and I’m confident that we can make it far. I’ll do my best to achieve both my goals and the goals of Misfits.”

KaKAO joined Misfits just after the team was promoted from the 2016 EU Challenger Series. Before joining the team KaKAO had played for two years in China on Wan Yoo Dream and Invictus Gaming. KaKAO started his career in Korea playing for the kt Rolster organization from 2012 to 2014 where he was known as one of the region’s most aggressive and exciting junglers.
