100 Thieves have announced their starting support player for the 2018 NA LCS Season as Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black. The announced the signing in a short video released Monday afternoon featuring team manager Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag and team coach, Neil “Pr0lly” Hammad.
Black has had an extensive career in the NA LCS previously playing the support role for Counter Logic Gaming for almost four years. Black and CLG parted ways during the off-season when the team chose to move in a new direction by picking up former TSM support Vincent “Biofrost” Wang.
Throughout his time on CLG Black has been to two World Championships in 2015 and 2016, as well as winning back to back NA LCS Finals in the summer of 2015 and spring of 2016. Black is well regarded throughout North America as one of the region’s strongest supports and best shotcallers.
Black will be joined on 100 Thieves by Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho in top lane, William “Meteos” Hartman in the jungle, and Yoo “Ryu” Sang-wook in mid. The only remaining spot to be announced for the team’s roster is Black’s duo partner in the bottom lane. During his time with CLG Black played consistently with two different AD Carries gaining veteran experience with Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng and helping to bring Trevor “Stixxay” Hayes up to speed in the league as a rookie.
