Cloud9 picks up Svenskeren as starting jungler

After two years with TSM, the jungler will be starting for his second North American team.

Cloud9 has announced their newest player ahead of the 2018 season with a short video introducing Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen.

Johnsen was previously a member of Team SoloMid and competed against Cloud9 in two NA LCS Finals. Johnsen first made his name playing in the EU LCS on SK Gaming, but truly transitioned into the spotlight when he moved to North America to play for TSM.

While with the team, Johnsen attended all four NA LCS Finals, winning three, as well as making two trips to the World Championship, where TSM failed to escape the group stage in both 2016 and 2017.

Johnsen will be replacing Cloud9’s former jungler, Juan “Contractz” Garcia as the starter for the roster. Garcia was a rookie in 2017 and performed well, helping the team make the 2017 World Championship quarterfinals. Meanwhile, on TSM, Johnsen will be replaced by Mike Yeung, a jungler who only joined the NA LCS during the 2017 Summer Split and was picked up by TSM after a short but successful stint with former LCS team Phoenix1.
