After an article went up last week and was swiftly edited to remove all mentions of it, everyone was buzzing about the rumored board game Riot Games was releasing. We finally have some answers, thanks to a teaser website launched Monday.
The board game is called Mechs Vs. Minions and it’s an intense strategy co-operative game to be played by two to four people.
You pick between being able to play as Tristana, Heimerdinger, Ziggs and Corki, four of the League’s favorite Yordles. (Teemo? Who’s that?)
The team is being led by Rumble, the self proclaimed mech expert, as he teaches everyone how to properly program their mech in order to complete one of ten objectives. Sometimes the objective has to do with a bomb and sometimes it has to do with Rumble’s stolen mech, Tristy.
Pieces are moved around the boards using command cards and each command card as its own element. You can learn more about command cards from Rumble in the video below.
The game releases on October 13 at 11 a.m. PST exclusively from the Riot games merch store and it’ll be $75 plus shipping. The game will be available in English and Simplified Chinese.
