At the time of this writing, we’re a week-and-a-half out of the start of the 2016 League of Legends Worlds Championship. The 16 teams are set, the groups are locked and the biggest tournament of the season is right around the corner.
It all starts with an MSI rematch, as European champions G2 Esports look to avenge a disappointing international debut against North America’s Counter Logic Gaming, runners-up at MSI but a team that has struggled in recent months.
Once this timer hits zero, that North America vs. Europe match is scheduled to start:
The other matches from the first day of action, in order:
- Rox Tigers vs. Albus Nox Luna
- H2K vs. ahq e-Sports
- INTZ e-Sports Club vs. EDward Gaming
- Samsung Galaxy vs. Splyce
- Team SoloMid vs. Royal Never Give Up
You never know how these things will turn out, but it certainly seems like the first match and the last two are the most interesting of the day. Stay tuned to this page as we count down the time until worlds begins.
