If you’ve played League of Legends recently, you’re getting a free skin

Update: This promotion ended in September. We will let you know if Riot offers any similar promotions in the future.

Riot Games is turning 10 years old this year, which means that League of Legends players will be receiving some free in-game loot to celebrate!

Every account that has played a game in the last 60 days will get a special birthday poro icon and a Riot Kayle skin. (If you don’t have Kayle, you’ll get her, too.) If you already own Kayle, you will get a random mystery skin! If you somehow own so many skins that you’re not eligible for a mystery skin, you will get the amount of RP it costs to buy a mystery skin in your region.

If you haven’t played a game in the last 60 days, you have until September 19 to play and be granted the above items. Riot also noted that even accounts that have been reported for bad behavior will get the gifts, unlike past freebies.

Remember to give Riot time to roll out your special present. Like the past giveaways, they’re not just launching the gifts all at once. However, if you didn’t get your goodies by September 23, consider contacting player support.

There will also be special IP boost weekend from September 16 to September 18, so this weekend will be a great time to play if you’re saving up for a new champion or maybe some shiny new runes. This boost is not the party boost - you will get the same amount of bonus IP if you’re in a pre-made or rolling solo.
