We do not yet know the future of NRG Esports’ League of Legends team, but one thing’s for certain: former jungler Lucas “Santorin” Larsen will not be part of it. The Danish jungler previously played in the LCS with Team SoloMid and in the Challenger Series with Team Coast, Huma and Ember.
I'm now a free agent! I appreciate all offers and I look forward to continuing my career in League. Thanks for everything @NRGgg !

It was a rough second split for NRG, following a playoff appearance in the spring. The team made four roster moves, keeping just starting mid laner Chang-seok “GBM” Lee. Santorin was arguably NRG’s best player this split, but problems in the side lanes proved to be too much for the team to overcome. After a 4-14 regular season record left them in ninth place, the team was relegated from LCS play following 0-3 sweeps at the hands of Cloud9 Challenger and Echo Fox in the promotion tournament.
No announcement has been made by NRG regarding the future of the organization. In Europe, recently relegated FC Schalke 04 announced it would be keeping its team and competing in the Challenger Series.
