SKT Worlds skins return looking swankier than ever

(sighs and grabs wallet)

Riot Games

The SKT T1 2015 Championship skins are now available to buy for 975 RP each or in a bundle for 5851 RP or 9337 RP if you need to buy the champions as well. The bundle includes a special SKT T1 ward skin and the champions at 25 percent off. It’s unknown if the ward skin is the original red one their last skin set or not.

You can check out the hype video for the skins below.

Kalista and Azir were added to the group of skins to appease the fans and players. Originally, Riot had included Sivir, since she played such a big role in the competitive scene, but SKT AD Carry Jun-sik "Bang" Bae himself expressed that he wanted Kalista instead.

SKT Azir summons little SKT fans instead of soldiers, which is pretty dang cute.

Rioter KateyKhaos has noted that the skins are priced at 975 RP (unlike the previous 750 RP Worlds skins) since they’re all receiving special backing animations and particles. You can see the skins in action below.

The old skins, which you can see below, were a little...lackluster. The champions are sporting colors the team doesn’t wear anymore and there seemed to be a general look of laziness. Many fans thought that Sang-hyeok "Faker" Lee and Seong-ung "Bengi" Bae deserved better skins, since this was their second time winning Worlds.

Riot also didn’t include a skin for Ji-hoon "Easyhoon" Lee, who was the substitute mid-laner for SKT. Despite being a sub, he played in a lot of the matches throughout the season and deserved an Azir skin.

Even Faker himself was pretty unhappy with the skins.

Thankfully, Riot has answered our prayers.

Riot has also stated that next year, they’ll be working closely with the winning team to design the skins with them at Riot HQ rather than guessing and checking.
