H2K has signed former Renegades, Copenhagen Wolves and Ninjas in Pyjamas AD Carry Aleš "Freeze" Kněžínek to replace Konstantinos "FORG1VEN" Tzortziou, the team announced in a statement Saturday. FORG1VEN had previously announced he would be sitting out the Summer Split and returning to the LCS next season.

From the Czech Republic, Freeze has been playing at a professional level since Season 2. After a brief time spent in the Challenger season, he made his EU LCS debut with Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Summer 2013 Split. NiP were relegated to the Challenger Series, and Freeze left the team when the roster disbanded in September 2014, eventually joining the Copenhagen Wolves in the LCS.

With the Wolves, Freeze gained a reputation as one of the best ADCs in Europe despite on playing one of its worst teams, placing second and first among EU ADCs in CS difference at 10 minutes during his two LCS splits with the team. The Wolves were relegated following the 2015 Summer Split, and Freeze moved to North America to join the Renegades.

With the Renegades, Freeze once again putting forward strong performances despite being on a team near the bottom of the standings. In the 2016 Spring Split, Freeze was second to Doublelift among NA ADCs in CS difference at 10 minutes, up by an average of 4.1 on his opponent. Roster changes made Renegades' season a tumultuous one, but the team improved towards the end of the split and was able to avoid relegation.

With H2K, Freeze should have the opportunity to compete for EU LCS glory. The team was one of the strongest in Europe this season, and will be expected to compete with Vitality, Fnatic, Origen and G2 for a spot at Worlds.
