MSI 2016 Finals: Counter Logic Gaming vs. SK Telecom T1 VODs

Riot Games

The grand final of the 2016 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational takes place Sunday, as North American champion Counter Logic Gaming takes on Korean champion SK Telecom T1 in Shanghai.

This is the first time a North American team has ever made it to a Riot major final -- no NA team had made it past the quarterfinal round since Season 1 Worlds. CLG finished in second place in the round robin stage, including a win over SKT, and beat Flash Wolves in the semifinal round three games to one.

SKT started the round robin stage 2-4, but finished 4-0 to qualify for the semifinal round. After losing the first game in the semifinal round to China's Royal Never Give Up, SKT won the next three games in a row, culminating in a perfect Game 4.
