Kindred's been around on the Rift for around half a year now, and many of us have grown to love the creepy lamb and wolf duo. But have you ever wondered what could have been?
In the video above, YouTube video creator Jeremy "Gaming Curios" takes a detailed look at the history of Kindred's development, including some never-before-revealed details. He begins with the plan from Riot champion designer Jordan "Wrekz" Anton to make his first marskman.
The most interesting part of Kindred's design history is that they were initially planned to be a cyborg cowboy with a sniper rifle. Sound somewhat familiar? Yep, that design went on to be shared by the next champion released after Kindred, Jhin, particularly with his High Noon skin.
Jeremy gets some new details directly from Anton himself, including a great anecdote about an early, incredibly powerful version of Kindred that led to "the most broken playtest ever."
Watch the video above for the full story. It's an interesting one, and as cool as the cyborg cowboy sounds, it seems like we got the best version of Kindred possible. This champion went through some real changes over the course of development
